Jamie Wilson became a tenant of Chambers in September 2025 after completing his pupillage under Stephen Littlewood.

Jamie has a common law practice and represents clients in a variety of areas.

Jamie is a Grade 2 prosecutor.

Jamie prosecutes and defends in the Magistrates’ Court and the Crown Court. He has experience in representing clients in trials concerning domestic violence, violent offences, drug offences, sexual offences, driving offences and theft.

He has appeared for clients at all stages, from first appearances, PTPH, applications, trials and sentences. He has assisted clients in POCA proceedings.

He can build a rapport with clients and support vulnerable clients and witnesses. He has also advised on appeals.

Notable cases

R v CM [2026] – Jamie prosecuted an appeal regarding an assault against a protestor. The court dismissed the appeal, despite the Defendant being represented by a leading KC.

R v RB [2026]
– Jamie represented a Defendant for a driving offence. After he highlighted issues with the evidence, the prosecution attempted to amend the charge. The court refused the application to amend following his submissions. The crown offered no evidence.

R v CB [2025] – Jamie represented a Defendant facing a charge of joint enterprise s.18 assault, and a breach of a SSO. Jamie negotiated with the prosecutor to secure a charge of ABH with an agreement that the Defendant was not involved in the violence or carrying a weapon. The Defendant was released from custody following sentencing.

R v GS [2025] – Jamie represented a Defendant for a public order offence. He successfully resisted a bad character application despite the Defendant having numerous previous offences. The Defendant was acquitted.

R v CD [2025] – Jamie represented a Defendant facing multiple ABH and criminal damage offences linked to domestic abuse. The Defendant was sentenced to a suspended sentence order following mitigation.

Jamie is regularly instructed by the police in civil applications in the Magistrates’ Court and the County Court and in appeals to the Crown Court.

Jamie has represented the police in various civil operational orders. He has appeared for the police in Domestic Violence Protection Orders, Domestic Abuse Protection Orders, Sexual Risk Orders, Sexual Harm Prevention Orders, Closure Orders, Stalking Protection Orders and Anti-Social Behavioural Injunctions.

He has represented the police in civil POCA proceedings, acting in applications for Account Freezing Orders, Cash Forfeiture Orders and Account Forfeiture Orders.

Jamie has advised the police on quantum issues and LPP. He has represented the police in civil trials and in family proceedings for disclosure issues.

Before commencing pupillage, Jamie worked for LPC Law as a County Court advocate. He appeared in small claims trials, mortgage and landlord-tenant hearings, insolvency matters, infant approvals, interim applications, and dispute resolution hearings. He also drafted skeleton arguments for clients. 

He was also a caseworker for Leeds Free Legal Representation, assisting pro bono clients in the Employment and Social Security Tribunals. He appeared in multi-day hearings concerning discrimination, harassment, victimisation, and unlawful deduction of wages. Alongside advocacy, he drafted documentation, prepared advice on appeals, and negotiated settlements exceeding £10,000. 

As a Referral Order Panellist, Jamie engaged with young offenders to draft referral orders. He gained experience in dealing with young clients, stakeholders in criminal cases and the youth justice system.
