Probationary Tenancy / Third Six Pupillage

We are a busy set and invite applications for a probationary tenant / third six pupil to undertake work across our practice areas, but with a particular emphasis on criminal work

Our criminal work is spread across the North Eastern Circuit and it is essential that applicants are prepared to travel across the Circuit.

Applicants must ideally have undertaken a pupillage focused predominantly on criminal and crime related work and have substantial advocacy and some advisory experience.

We provide a friendly and supportive atmosphere and have a good track record of recruiting tenants from our past probationary tenants and third six pupils. Probationary tenancies and third six pupillages are not funded but successful applicants can expect to be in court every day and retain their earnings subject to Chambers contributions.

Successful probationary tenants / third six pupils will have the opportunity to work in a well-established but forward thinking Chambers and our clerks actively support pupils and junior tenants in developing their practices.

All third six pupils are assigned a mentor and encouraged to work with the clerks to develop their practice.

All applications should be made by CV and covering letter and preferably by email to PaulCleasby@kbwchambers.com
