  • Practice Summary

    Lorena has experience of both prosecution and defence work and regularly appears in the Crown, Youth and Magistrates’ Courts. She has experience of a wide variety of criminal cases and has dealt with young and vulnerable witnesses in addition to those with mental health issues.

    Lorena undertook pupillage under the supervision of Tamara Pawson. During the first six months of her pupillage Lorena observed and assisted Tamara with the wide range of prosecution and defence work that she undertakes in the Crown Court. During this time she gained particular experience of trials involving serious sexual offences against children.

  • Practice Summary

    Lorena undertook part of her first six months of pupillage under the supervision of Olivia Checa-Dover, a family law specialist. As such she has experience of many aspects of family law for example finding of fact hearings, interim care orders and removal hearings. She also has experience of private family matters.

  • Practice Summary

    Lorena has undertaken a variety of civil work including Stage 3 hearings, Small Claims RTA Trials, Disposal Hearings and Infant Approvals.

  • Practice Summary

    Under the supervision of Olivia Checa-Dover Lorena gained experience of a variety of police work, for example acting on behalf of West Yorkshire police in unlawful arrest and search claims.
