Susan McKendry has been appointed to the Committee of the newly-formed Court of Protection Bar Association. The Association, which was formally founded on 4 March 2019 aims to promote the interests of whose who lack mental capacity or are otherwise unable to take decisions for themselves, to provide a forum for discussion of the work of the Court of Protection and to promote the interests of the Court of Protection Bar. It will provide legal education and training to members in relation to the procedure of the CoP and the Mental Capacity Act, and should be a vital resource for the growing number of practitioners working in this difficult area.
