Simon Mallett has just returned from another successful trip to Sierra Leone to assist with advocacy training.

24 April 2024

The trainers were very grateful for the Acting Chief Justice of SL, Hon Justice N. C. Browne-Marke attending to open the training course and for a supportive visit from Lisa Chesney, the UK High Commissioner to Sierra Leone and the Deputy HC.

Simon said: “It was a pleasure to work with such a fantastic team of trainers from the ICCA and Sierra Leone. The training could not have taken place without financial and technical support from Advocates for International Development’s ROLE UK Programme and UKAid.  We are all working together to set up a SL Advocacy training body. A further team of ICCA trainers will be visiting in May to work with the SL Judiciary and the Bar to further develop this initiative.”
