Manisha Marwaha appointed by His Majesty The King as a Recorder

It is with great joy and pleasure that we announce His Majesty The King has appointed Manisha Marwaha as a Recorder (part time Circuit Judge). A Royal Warrant of Appointment has been signed by The King for Manisha to take up her appointment with effect from Tuesday the 30th May 2023.

Manisha has been appointed on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, The Right Honourable Alex Chalk KC MP, and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, The Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon. Manisha will sit on the North Eastern Circuit in the family jurisdiction.

Manisha was called to the Bar in 2009 and joined KBW as a pupil in 2011. Manisha practices in Family, Administrative Law and Inquests with a strong focus on international family law matters. She is Head of Family within Chambers and is a top ranked Tier 1 Leading Junior in the Legal 500. Manisha was also appointed in 2022 as both a Deputy District Judge and a Fee Paid Immigration Judge sitting in the First Tier Tribunal.

Manisha will sit as a Recorder for approximately four weeks per year and her busy full time practice will continue as usual.
