A team of Barristers in KBW led by David Brooke KC and including Rupert Doswell KC, Stephen Littlewood and Lorena Veale have successfully prosecuted a large and complex Police operation known as Operation Tourway.
The case involved historic sex offences committed by a number of men in the Dewsbury and Wakefield area. Investigations began in 2015 and the case has involved a number of trials in Leeds Crown Court which have taken place over the last two years.
Reporting restrictions were in place until recently which prevented reporting of the case. It can now be revealed that the prosecution has led to the conviction of 24 individuals who have collectively received a sentence of 346 years.
The prosecution team thank the bravery of the victims in the case and the support and hard work of the Police team behind the investigation.
