On the 10th December 2025, after a 3 week trial, Sharaz Ali was convicted of the attempted murder of Antonia Gawith and the murder of her sister Bryonie and 3 children in a deliberate fire at their home. Ali was “motivated by jealousy and fuelled by drink and drugs”. A second man was convicted of their manslaughter. The judge described their murders as "truly dreadful crimes”.
