Daniel Ingham represents West Yorkshire Police in Account Forfeiture Proceedings totalling £1.9million.

19 March 2026

Daniel Ingham was instructed by West Yorkshire Police in 13 Account Forfeiture Applications. The case involved allegations of fraud, where the respondent had claimed to be an expert in banking and financial instruments, before attending an event in the Dominican Republic and convincing individuals to transfer money to him for the setting up of a bank like structure. The money was then dissipated into personal accounts as well as sent onto other fraudulent schemes. This resulted in a contested 3-day hearing before Kirklees Magistrates Court. In total, £1.9 million pounds was seized, and will now be returned to victims. The case also involved issues of jurisdiction, as some of those involved in the case were based in the United States. A successful application for costs of £19,037.80 was also made on behalf of the police.
