Daniel Ingham represented the Appropriate Authority in police misconduct proceedings where a former officer of South Yorkshire Police had allegedly assaulted their partner during an argument. The allegation had not resulted in a criminal prosecution. The Panel found that the conduct was a breach of the professional standards and constituted gross misconduct, also finding the former officer would have been dismissed had he remained in service.
