Our Team includes a member of the Attorney General’s Regional Immigration Panel, a former Home Office Presenting Officer and junior members who act on behalf of the Secretary of State before the First Tier Tribunal.
Members are routinely instructed to draft representations to the Home Office.
The work undertaken is diverse and includes asylum appeals, entry clearance appeals (commercial and non-commercial), human rights and detention cases. Counsel are relied upon to provide advice to solicitors at the earliest possible stage of the application/appeal process and have been instrumental in achieving fresh decisions from the Secretary of State in order to avoid the costs of onwards challenges.
Crucially, members of the Team make themselves available to solicitors over the telephone to provide immediate advice on legal points where time is of the essence. The close and productive working relationships formed with solicitors firms stand testament to the commitment and approachability of the Team.
