Areas of Practice

Criminal Law

Defends and prosecutes all areas of crime, with significant experience in serious crime. Recent instruction includes offences of Rape and other serious sexual assault of both a recent and historical nature, Arson, Violent Disorder, Robbery, Making Indecent Images of Children, Bank Fraud, Wounding with Intent and large scale drug supply.

Established CPS Level 3 prosecutor, confident in dealing with ancillary applications including POCA Confiscation Orders and Sexual Offences Prevention Orders. Regularly attends training seminars, including the prosecution of serious sexual offences seminar.

Successfully appeared before the Court of Appeal (Criminal Division) on numerous occasions.

In addition to matters prosecuted by the Crown, has experience in those prosecuted by other authorities including HM Revenue and Customs, local councils and the Probation Service.

Significant experience in prison law, representing lay clients before the Parole Board and in adjudication hearings before an Independent Adjudicator.
