Areas of Practice

Civil and criminal. Main areas of work are personal injury, including disease litigation. Criminal (prosecution and defence)

Civil

Advising and drafting pleadings for personal injury (accidents at work, road traffic accident, slipping and tripping on the highway), Claimant disease litigation (HAVS, noise induced deafness, dermatitis). Also has experience of contractual and construction disputes

Criminal

Grade 3 prosecutor. Criminal prosecutions have involved working for the Serious Fraud Office in major fraud, working with the Major Crime Unit in West Yorkshire in Operations Holstein, Bottle and Stride, as junior counsel in murder investigations in Bradford, Harrogate and Middlesbrough areas and in cases involving drug offences and violent crime. Defence cases have included supply of Class A drugs, Section 18 GBH, public order offences and allegations involving environmental protection.
