All areas of serious crime. Recent cases include assisting in securing acquittals in: Shaken Baby Homicide (representing the Father), Gross Negligence Manslaughter (representing a Solid Fuel Engineer), Murder within a Prison (inmate on inmate), Multi- Defendant Murder (joint enterprise or lack of it), Non Homicide Violence, Drug Related Crime and Fraud. I recently secured the acquittal of a professional footballer charged with affray, which was itself linked to a homicide. I regularly appear in high profile cases as both Leader and Junior.

Attended training in prosecuting serious sexual offences and in the use of intermediaries to assist vulnerable witnesses.

  • R v Andrew Furby (2005) EWCA Crim 3147. Authoratative review of "one-punch" manslaughter sentencing.
  • R v Shaban Maka (2006) 2Cr.App.R.(S) 14 CA. People Trafficking sentence. One of the first two cases to be prosecuted.
  • R v Nguyen Van Minh (and others) (2007) EWCA Crim 3129. Authoratative review of sentence in Cultivation of Cannabis cases.
