Forty years varied civil and criminal practice in all level of courts, including planning appeals and employment tribunals. Was counsel to the Post Office for the North Eastern Circuit. Prosecuted regularly for Sheffield Fraud Squad. Prosecuted murders without leader (was on Attorney Generals list). Has prosecuted and defended several long fraud cases, including one of the Poulson cases which included defending in complicated bankruptcy proceedings. Was a Deputy Circuit Judge then Recorder from 1979-1982.
